Mabry Minute Week School's out for the summer

Mabry Families:

It is hard to believe the school year is over. As I complete my 13th year at Mabry, I am still impressed by how amazing our students are. We had around 65 seniors come back and walk the halls for a final clap out. This is the first class that I have seen grow from kindergarten to graduating seniors. It is exciting to see our students grow and strive to be the best that they can be. 

Please ensure we have your current address and email on file. We will be sending out information over the summer about next school year. I know some families are moving on to new schools and we only wish the best for all of you. Change is hard but can also be exciting.  

Thank you to our wonderful PTA for updating our school grounds, marquee, morning show equipment, pre-K mural, turf, fence, sidewalks, musical instruments, pavers, garden upkeep, and volunteering in our classrooms. If you would like to volunteer, we welcome your support. A few of us cannot do it all! I hope everyone has a wonderful summer! Do not forget to have your child read a little each day!

Dear Mabry Families and Staff,

This year with your help we accomplished the following and so much more..

  • Neptune fence installation

  • All New Morning Show Equipment

  • Subscriptions for teachers/ classes

  • Beautification of front and inner areas 

  • New dismissal sidewalk at back gate installed

  • Widening of the sidewalk in the front of school

  • New Marquee 

  • New mural,  sun umbrellas and turf in the Pre-K area 

  • Curriculum enhancements including Book Fairy, Scholastics subscriptions, etc

  • New courtyard pavers

  • Personalized pavers added to Pavilion area

  • Angel Tree-Providing holiday gifts to Mabry and Lockhart students in need
  • Hosted Lockhart Elem's drumline and sold Gatorade as a fundraiser for them at Walkathon
  • Helped fund Potter Elementary’s Positive Behavior program.
  • Donated $1k to Lockhart Elem for their food pantry (fresh meat/produce for holiday break)
  • Donated funds to help sister school West Shore Elem with 5th grade celebration
  • Sponsored 100 students in summer school with hygiene products thru Oasis
  • NEW Music equipment is on it's WAY!!!

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers and PTA members/chairs for all that you do for our wonderful Mabry family. I am truly amazed by all of you.  

It was an honor and a privilege to serve you this year as PTA president and the PTA for the last 9 years.  I am truly humbled by the experience and I can't wait to see what the new board does next year!
